What is the Alina Holender Trust?
Alina Holender was a wonderful woman who cared about people.
The Trust is a charity set up in her memory. We support the work of Polish hospices, doctors, nurses, families and volunteers who allow people suffering from cancer and other terminal diseases to live their final days in comfort and dignity.

What do we do?
The Trust raises funds to purchase vital medical equipment for hospices throughout Poland. We are working with the national Polish campaign "A Hospice is Life too" to identify the hospices that will most benefit from our support, particularly those that get little other financial support.

On 11 June 2010 ten of our fundraisers set off on a 1,117km journey from Gdansk to Bielsko-Biala. They visited hospices, met staff and volunteers, ended up on TV and had a grand adventure - and raised over £7,000 for medical equipment - find out more here.
Everyone involved gives their time for free, we pay all admin costs on the Trust's behalf and we have no overheads - as a result everything you give will go to support those who are ill and those who look after them, and every penny really will make a difference.
